  • Played semi finals Wimbledon, 1984 aged only 19
  • 1984 US Open Semi Final lost a 5 set thriller to Ivan Lendl
  • Won the Davis Cup for Australia, 1986 fighting back from 2 sets to 0 in the deciding match
  • 1987 Austrailan Open, lost a tough 5 setter to Stefin Edberg
  • Won Wimbledon Championship, 1987 beating Lendl in straight sets
  • Australian Open, 1988 final lost to Wilander 8-6 in the 5th set
